Originally, traffic signals were ran by hand, not a very efficient or safe way to handle large groups entering and exiting the stadium. Even after introducing pre-determined traffic patterns, which helped, the stadium often found these patterns were hard to determine, especially for postgame traffic. Yunex Traffic Expands Statewide Connected Vehicle Program in Colorado, USA
Yunex Traffic today announced the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has selected the company to provide 150 RSU2X roadside units (RSUs). The one-year project is part of Colorado’s expansion of connected vehicle (CV) technology across more than 400 miles of interstate corridors. The contract includes an option to purchase additional roadside units in additional years.
Yunex Traffic and partners to advance autonomous shuttle capability
Yunex Traffic announced the successful integration of the company’s OBUs and RSUs into the University of Florida’s autonomous shuttle program. The initiative is part of a research project funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), called the Trapezium Project, and in Gainesville, will allow two autonomous Transdev EasyMile shuttles operating around the University of Florida Campus to observe and obey traffic signals.
